How to configure PocSpec ReactiveCocoa 3.0 to use as a "private module" with my test project?

I am learning ReactiveCocoa using my WORKBENCH project. However, the latest CocoaPod specification is for version 2.1.8 - and I want to use ReactiveCocoa 3.0 to move on to the "learning curve." I thought about taking the path of creating the "Private CocoaPod" podcast, but that didn't work for me ... (I'm noob with CocoaPods). Anyway, did anyone do this? is there an easier way? Ideally, I want to update ReactiveCocoa 3.0 with Sourcetree as I make updates - the same way it works for version 2.1.8 now. Thanks.

ReactiveCocoa people moved away from CocoaPods in favor of Carthage , primarily because CocoaPods was late for a game that supports Swift and dynamic frames - this is what RAC3 requires. As someone who was trying to get ReactiveCocoa to work on an existing project using CocoaPods, I would urge you not to go this route. It infuriates.

All the information you need to start with Carthage can be found on the Carthage github landing page .
