Grail warning when compiling controllers

I am currently receiving a warning in Grails

'The [update] action accepts a parameter of type [edu.acu.teachereval.SubjectCode], which was not marked with the @Validateable character. Data binding will still apply to this command object, but the instance will not be validated. @Transactional

along with the same errors for showing, saving, editing and deleting for the controller mentioned in the error and other controllers I created. I saw this problem for custom functions, but I did not see this error for functions built into grails. Any help would be appreciated.
