Cpulimit is not working properly

I use Debian Wheezy and cpulimit 1.7. I want to limit the CPU usage time to a process using cpulimit.

When I execute, for example cpulimit -p 1000 -l 40, a message appears Process 1000 detected. After that, nothing happens, and I have to press Strg + C to stop it.

Has anyone also encountered this problem or has a solution to this freeze?

What always looks when you start cpulimit.

cpulimitworks by continuous sending SIGSTOPand SIGCONTtarget process to limit cpu time. Thus, the program in this case does not freeze, it performs this work.

-b cpulimit , , .
