App Store API for Release Notes / Updates

Question

Is there a way to get the following information from the Apple App Store (iOS):

a) the time and date of updating the application from the application store b) receive release notes from the last update

Is there an API for this? RSS? Or even an existing service that already provides this?

I would like to keep track of new updates of interesting applications, but I do not want them to always be on my iPhone or from iTunes on Mac.

Yes, you can get it using this api. It will return you data in json format.
