The ionic application works in the browser, but does not work on Android: [ERROR] Cordoba initialization error: class not found

Question

My application is based on the ion project sidemenu starter . It works fine in the browser, but trying to run it on my Android device results in a message with the following message:

[ERROR] Cordoba initialization error: class not found

I tried the suggested solutions in this post , but none of them solved the problem.

To reproduce the problem, follow the instructions here .

Any ideas what is going on?
