I am currently testing my application on iOS8. Everything works well on pure iOS8, but I am struggling with the migration of iOS7 application files that will appear to users when iOS8 is publicly released. Since my application uses several "standard directories" (Documents, Application Support, ...), I would like to be sure that the migration will be smooth.
The file system structure of the application has changed to iOS8 (read iOS beta 4 Release note and the file system guide ).
When iOS8 is installed on the device, I think that all previously installed applications and all related files (in Documents, Application Support, ...) will be reorganized to fit the new structure.
Do you have any information on the (exhaustive) list of changes that will occur during the upgrade of iOS7 to iOS8? I can not find documentation on this. Is there any way to test / simulate porting the iOS7 application sandbox to the new iOS8 sandbox structure?
thank
BONUS question: Does the application GUID change when updating the OS?
