We use WAWS and WA SQL Azure. This morning, the Northern Europe Data Center crashed for 1 hour 50 minutes. Basically, we were not able to access our sites or databases. Now back, though still rumbling.
I must admit that I felt a little helpless.
- When will he appear again?
- What caused this?
- Who can I contact?
I have a feeling that the reason is connected to the network. Maybe a load balancer?
So, what can we do when this happens, since usually MS engineers know about these “events” very quickly and act on them.
Some ideas that I had are as follows:
1) Put a polite error page if the domain timeout. Not sure how to do this. About an authorized service, such as pingdom or a domain service where CNames are defined. We move on to Lazur. This message is the key to reassuring customers whose problems are sorted and to prevent the appearance of Azure 503 blank pages.
2) The best information from the team "Azure", "Reduce the creed when the service is resumed."
3) Other actions required when this "event" occurs.
