WebJobs SDK - Lowering AzureJobsDashboard Connection String

Has something recently changed in the Azure WebJobs SDK around skipping the AzureJobsDashboard connection string? Until recently, if this connection string was omitted, the WebJobs toolbar did not show / store call logs, etc. Now, if this connection string is deleted, WebJob will not start at all ... Has anyone else noticed this or found work around?

I don’t want any messages in the queue to be recorded in the call logs, it would be interesting to find out if someone has achieved something similar?

JobHostConfiguration config = new JobHostConfiguration();
config.DashboardConnectionString = null;
