How to show such a panel on the iOS home screen?

Please take a look at this image:

How can this red bar upstairs be implemented? I think it should be displayed when the application is in the background. I have no idea what and how to do it.

There are several ways to make an application in the background. They are called background modes. At the time of this writing, there are only 5 basic background modes - including audio, location, VoIP, newsstand, etc.

For audio, you get a red bar, for a location you don't have a bar, for VoIP you get a green bar, etc.

Running the application in the background is carried out in 2 stages:

  • API - , CLLocationManager, audioSession.
