EventHandler vs EventHandler

In C # Is there a fundamental difference to using

event EventHandler<myeventargs>And EventHandler<myeventargs> since both of them give the same effect from what I see, besides using the keyword event, you get a different icon in intellisense.

They seem to be similar, but really different.

With a keyword, eventyou make them something like properties, which means that you can register them publicly and also keep it private .
