How to read ranges in Emacs syntax table?

eg. Below is the syntax table from text-mode(called C-h s).

Parent Syntax Table:
C- @ .. Ch. which means: punctuation
TAB .. Cj, which means: spaces
Ck. which means: punctuation
Cl .. RET, which means: spaces
Cn .. C-_. which means: punctuation

By intuition, I guess what ..a list range means. However, I could not find confirmation in the GNU emacs manual. Can I confirm this here?

Also, can I also confirm that the range is sorted by ASCII code? i.e. C-@ .. C-hcorresponds to ASCII code 0-10.

Sorry if this looks too easy. I would like to find the corresponding document from the reference manual, but this is not

I can’t conclusively confirm this, but based on my observation, I agree 100% with your assessment.

Copies A .. Zand A .. Zand 0 .. 9provide good supporting evidence.

Obviously, the control characters are displayed in a readable format, and sometimes the selected option is not an ideal choice.

eg. C-l .. RETwill be more understood as equivalent C-l .. C-m; and similarly, if it TAB .. C-jappeared asC-i .. C-j

, char, " [], ". , , , , , , , .. .
