How to use grep command for zip files

I want grep to date from a zip file. How can I do that?

I have a zip file named sen2616.z I want to get all the data for today date 02/09/2014

In my case, it zgrepdid not work with a regular file .zip. Instead, I had to use zipgrep.

You can use zgrepto get what you want with:

zgrep '09.02.2014' myfile.zip
