MongoD does not stop on CentOS

I am trying to turn off mongoD to make a backup. However, when I post service mongod stop, it completely failedStopping mongod:[FAILED]

I looked at mongodb logs and said nothing about shutting down ...

I have important data on this database, and I do not want to kill anything, since I'm new to mongoDB, I prefer to ask here what to do before destroying everything.

I was thinking about killing the MongoD process, making my backup with mongodump and rebooting MongoD, but I'm not sure if it will work.

Thanks for the help.
