CheckBox and RadioButton not visible

Question

After changing the "Target version of Windows Phone" from Windows Phone 7 to Windows Phone OS 8.0, CheckBox'es and RadioButton do not appear on devices with Windows Phone 8.0. On devices with Windows Phone 8.1, everything is in order. How to solve this?

Is there a problem when you add new flags or radio buttons to your pages? Microsoft made some changes to those controls in WP 8.0, mainly in terms of colors (brushes)
