Export from pgadmin reads line breaks in field cells and creates unreadable Excel

I'm new to this, so I'm sure this is a stupid question, but I read every question related to the site and can’t find anything!

I export from pgadmin. Several columns have line breaks in cells, so the exported data is very volatile. Does anyone know how to fix this? Is there a way to make the line in the cells not readable?

I know that I make the correct settings for the export, but basically what happens is that there are header names and also one row of content for each column, and then column A will contain another 20 rows below it because of line breaks from the first cells in column E.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I assume that you are referencing the Query -> Execute to file command in the Query window. I don't think this is a bug due to which pgAdmin does not avoid line breaks inside lines in its csv output, but Excel can still read.

In the export options, make sure that you use commas as column delimiters and double quotes as quotation marks. Here are my settings: pgAdmin execute to file settings

, CSV Excel, Data → From Text. CSV . Excel ( Open Excel Windows Open With → Microsoft Excel).
