Can IntelliJ use Live Edit for Tomcat?

I am testing IntelliJ Idea for web development. I am trying to get live editing to work with updates in html files. The entire JavaEE project is deployed on Tomcat 8.0.12. There is currently nothing in my web directory but one index.html file, as I am trying to verify live editing.

I have installed and enabled the plugin in IntelliJ, as well as Chrome and Chromium (using LinuxMint 17 KDE). I’ve been doing this for a couple of hours and I have to miss something. I can’t get it to work in 13.1.4 or in EAP (Early Access Program) 14. When I “reboot in the browser” from IntelliJ, I see that the action takes place in the browser, but the actual content is not updated.

I tried debugging a regular deployed war and deploying a javascript debugger.

Am I completely mistaken and this will not work with JavaEE or Tomcat deployment? Should there be a difference between Chromium and Chrome?
