Does PyPDF2 Help Take Security Measures When Opening an Insecure File?

Question

I want to use PyPDF2, but at first I wanted to make sure that it would be safe to use. I can not find anything in the documents. I want to use it to make sure that the downloaded files are valid PDF files. Users are checked, but I am worried that they can still unknowingly download something unsafe. Is there a way that PyPDF2 could tell, even if it is a PDF, that it is unsafe?
