What is swagger? And why doesn't the online editor launch queries?

I spent the last few days trying to figure out whether to use an api plan, RAML or swagger.

Swagger seems to have the largest community, but the closer I look, the more I feel that it really lacks documentation (I had to look at the code many times to try to integrate it with my current project), many github questions and stackoverflow questions go unanswered.

Is it possible that something is missing here? All I want is a tool to help me write API documentation and check endpoints.

Why should the plot become part of the server logic? If I create the swagger files in the editor , then pass them to the UI it just breaks ..

As far as I can tell, this even makes the server a bit slower and makes many awkwardly supported integrations exist: p What am I missing here?

We are trying to work hard to improve the Swagger documentation. This is a bit more complicated when many of the projects are community-driven and not managed by a single organization.
