In-app purchase doesn't work on iOS 8, saying user data is incorrect

We have an in-app purchase application that works great on iOS 7. But on iOS 8, when a user tries to buy something in the app, the in-app purchase doesnโ€™t work with the error "Apple ID" could not be found or your password was wrong. Please try again, "even if the ID / password (we believe) is correct.

This happened on any iOS 8 device we tested on (with six different iPhone and iPod Touch models) and happens on 8.0, 8.0.1, and 8.0.2. We tried this with many different Apple identifiers, and this happens regardless of whether TouchID or password is used for authentication.

Shopping works great in the live version on iOS 7, as well as in the Ad Hoc created on iOS 8. Only this version on iOS 8 has this problem. Shopping recovery in the live version also works great on all devices.

Has anyone come across this, might think what could be the problem?
