Automated user interface testing in CRM 2013

We are trying to set up automatic user interface testing for our CRM 2013 development. We tried to use both CodedUI and Selenium, but both of them try to get links to elements in forms. Especially the site map.

Anyone lucky with automatic user interface testing in CRM 2013? We would prefer to use CodedUI.

I am currently participating in a project where we use CodedUI with CRM 2011, and I have to say that they seem to bite each other. The search for controls / ui elements is very slow and unstable (with different results after repeating the same tests a couple of times, sometimes finding, and sometimes finding the same buttons, etc.). When you dive into the html source, we also notice that CRM does not even guarantee that the id attribute of the elements is unique, and even when they CodedUI still can not always find the element.

Getting started with your question for sitemap automation. First, we hover over the main “Microsoft Dynamics CRM” TAB, and then click “Tools / Settings” / “Sales” ... in the same way for other tabs.

Confirm that you are getting the correct item identifiers by looking at the developer tools.
