Android: how to integrate an external barcode scanner device into the My Appliction app

I am developing a POS app for a store. The store keeper can use any brand of BarCode Scanner devices. I need to get the details of the scanned item. Is there any library file for it.

Fyi

  • I do not use the phone / tablet as a scanner.

  • I need to detect a scan of the end of an event after this detail of a scanned item.

Please provide me the best way to do this.
