I was tasked with creating an icon that will represent the site when a user closes it on an iOS device. Following several tutorials on this subject, I have added the following to a section of <head>my page.
<link href="http://mywebthingy/CDN/apple-touch-icon.png" rel="apple-touch-icon" />
<link href="http://mywebthingy/CDN/apple-touch-icon-76x76.png" rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="76x76" />
<link href="http://mywebthingy/CDN/apple-touch-icon-120x120.png" rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="120x120" />
<link href="http://mywebthingy/CDN/apple-touch-icon-152x152.png" rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="152x152" />
This works great when adding a link to a page on the home screen. However, I cannot get it to work by adding it as a bookmark in Safari, since the Apple and Disney links are by default for installing the browser. I feel that there is something else that needs to be done to get this to work correctly, but I cannot find anything on the Internet.
