Sonar installed and running but unavailable

Summary:

I am trying to run standalone sonar on a remote machine running CentOS 6.5.

The following: http://sonar-pkg.sourceforge.net/ - installed via:

yum install sonar

I established a remote database connection to a MySQL instance, already configured with the sonar database and the user, as described in: http://docs.sonarqube.org/display/SONAR/Install

Modified Configuration sonar.properties:

sonar.jdbc.url=jdbc:mysql://<mysql.ipaddress>:3306/sonar?useUnicode=true&characterEncoding=utf8&rewriteBatchedStatements=true&useConfigs=maxPerformance
