What is the php-fpm warning “failed to get scoreboard” in the fpm error log?

use case:

php version 5.4.25

php-fpm instance say "pf-9000" connects to the 2nd php-fpm instance, for example "pf-9005" with the fastcgi protocol on the same server. The error is displayed on both php-fpm instances.

request stream:

web client -> nginx -> pf-9000 -> pf-9005

Response stream:

pf-9005 -> pf-9000 -> nginx -> web client
