Ubuntu: unable to connect to host internet connection using NAT

I installed Lubuntu on Virtualbox. I am using Windows 7 x64. My virtual machine is a 32-bit version. The Internet works using the Bridged Adapter, but I'm trying to use NAT to use a VPN. In the Network and Sharing Center in Windows, I see the connection "Connection to the VirtualBox virtual host" and it says "No Internet access." The properties are checked "VirtualBox Bridged Networking Driver". The following is the output of ifconfig:

dev@dev-VirtualBox:~$ ifconfig
