Is Google Drive web hosting link feature dangerous for phasing out?

I am working on an Android application that stores a log on a client in Google Drive. We put static HTML / Javascript files on the specified drive so that the user can read their logs in a way that is convenient for the user through their browser. This feature has worked relatively well so far (despite some glitches due to server updates over the past few months).

2 weeks ago (from the beginning of October 2014), we saw that the new Google Drive user interface completely removed the ability to connect to the web host. For legacy accounts, this feature still exists, but not for newly created accounts from the specified date.

Does this mean that Google plans to eventually abandon this feature or will it be available in the foreseeable future, even if it is only available programmatically through the SDK?

Please note that we tested whether program access affects and it seems to work fine. We used the java SDK getWebViewLink () function (class file) to get the link programmatically, and it still does not work 1 at the moment. But changing the user interface from Google really bothers us that this feature will be removed, for example, Dropbox has fallen recently. This is true? If so, what is the expected timeline for deviation of signs and possible disappearance?
