Does XMPP (CCS) provide a canonical ACK response identifier?

I started working with GCM and recently changed from HTTP to XMPP to handle upstream messages from my phone.

I could not find an example or article that says that the canonical identifier will be returned for the ack answer.

Has anyone confirmed that this will happen for XMPP?
