IOS image design (sizes and asset catalogs)

I am developing my first application, and a logo appears in the main menu. The logo is now in the form of a Pixelmator file on my desktop. Ultimately, I would like to export the logo as a vector file, but Pixelmator currently does not have functionality.

I decided that I would use “Image Directories / Assets” to organize all my images, but I am confused by what all “@ 2x”, “@ 3x”, “retina” (etc) mean. It would be great if someone could create a table regarding the changes that the 100x100px image should go through to show how the highest quality on the screen.

Thanks in advance, Will.
