Symlink not working on my local machine

I am using the Xampp configuration in Windows 7. I am trying to configure the subfolder module in Drupal 7. But it says: “Unable to create symlink error, error code (1314)”, which prevents me from correctly configuring the module. And the functionality of the subfolder module does not work as expected.
