Odoo / OpenERP V8 - QWeb Reporting Tutorial

I am trying to start with odoo. One of the most important things for us would be to create different layouts for sales orders.

This is from "odoodays 2014" and shows how to customize an existing report. It works great. I don’t understand the points in the “General / specific report” section.

Now I'm lost trying to add a new report (starting with a copy of an existing report) using a custom template. I tried to add a new item to the report view in the settings, but I can not add the related qweb links (I added a new one, but it did not get a new ID).

I tried to create a copy in the addon submissions directory, but that didn't help.

Is there a tutorial for this?

Is there anyone who can give me some pointers on how to add a new report?

After searching, I came to this solution. I translated all menu headers from German because I use Odoo in German.

  • Reports
  • listed in the "Settings / Reports / Reports" section
  • you can click one of the reports
  • if you are editing one of the reports, you can click "Search for related QWeb views" - you can click and change these views. They are in HTML and are used for data in reports.

New reports are usually added using the plugin.
