How to highlight percent sign “%” for fortran code in emacs?

How can I highlight in Emacs the percent sign “%” to access type members?

Add to your .emacsfollowing:

(font-lock-add-keywords 'f90-mode
        '(("%" . font-lock-keyword-face)))

It highlights %in the same color as the keywords such as if, then, call, etc. In the manual section , or you can specify the face manually .
