There is no application icon in iTunes Connect

Question

I archived and submitted the cordova application using Xcode. During local testing, I found that the icon displays correctly in the application itself, but when I go to iTunes Connect, part of the application appears in the application. Was this expected? Should I explicitly load the icon into the icon of the iTunes Connect app? Or am I doing something wrong? Please advise! Thank!

You must upload the application icon to iTunesConnect. Provide it at 1024x1024

When you have a new application and you upload it to the AppStore, the icon will remain “empty” - even if it is correctly verified after downloading, your kit contains an icon and your application displays it correctly in the dock.

Only after you click "Submit to View" for the first time, it will appear (not quite sure if it is instant, but I know that it was there when I checked 1-2 hours after sending it to view) .
