I play with binary call manipulation. I have the code below:

I compiled the binary and used readelf or objdump. I see that my two functions are in:

Using the objdump -D test command (my binary name), I see that there are two callq functions in main. I tried to edit the first one to point to myfunc2 using the above 72c address, but this does not work; causes the binary to crash.

I suspect that I need to do something with the calculation of the address information through a relative location or using the lea / mov instructions.
