Providing edX Problem: stuck, TASK: [edxapp | checkout edx-platform repo in {{edxapp_code_dir}}]

Question

I am trying to install the edX developer stack on my local system. I ran into a problem: error checking the edx platform , but the difference is that it is stuck in the first line:

==> default: TASK: [edxapp | checkout edx-platform repo into {{edxapp_code_dir}}] ********** 

and my local system is very slow. I checked that the remote source is set to https://github.com/edx/edx-platform.git . Any suggestion / help on this topic? I use Ubuntu-14.04with memory 2 GB.
