How to insert tables inside the info box on Wikia pages?

Question

I want to insert tables in the info box. For example, I have a protein box that I developed using the infobox template ( http://health-and-medicine.wikia.com/wiki/Template:Proteinbox ), and the FASTA field is too large to fit in the protein field. Therefore, I would like it to be a folding table inside the box.

This is what I tried:

The problem is that you put the nested table inside the template. The pipe characters ( |) in the table syntax then collide with the use of pipes in the templates.
