Any suggestions for improving my approach to migrating from Veracity?
Background:
I finally hit my Veracity limit :
- all attempts to commit (after 6 months of use) suddenly give "
Error 101 (sqlite): sg_wc_db:tbl_gid can't find alias 7033." (I searched - I could not find help in this place). - Veracity 2.5 (latest version) is over 4.5 years old during this last edit.
- The "Questions" link at http://veracity-scm.com/qa (which was previously useful) now
gives 404 just redirects back to the home page. - The online community surrounding Veracity seems too small, and http://sourcegear.com/ seems to be focused on its open source version control systems.
All in all, I have lost confidence that Veracity controls my significant bits.
Extraction Method I Used (admittedly low-tech):
- used "
vv fast-export" to get a quick import stream for my new DVCS. This has kept the original story. - Manually copied the pages of my Veracity wiki page to another existing wiki that I am using.
- (most tiring). I read my articles of veracity so that I would not lose information critical for my project.
Conclusion:
Veracity. DVCS.
