Does anyone have information on detecting gestures using wrist movements (as opposed to swipe movements on the touch screen) with Android Wear?
Is there official support for this in the API? If not, do you think this can be activated through custom ROMs? Given that Android Wear ... well, Android and Android have all the API functions for receiving data from the accelerometer of an Android-based smartphone (and many useful sources for development), I believe that this will not be too difficult? Or am I not noticing something?

Use the asus remote camera app to wear android. If you twist your watch it will take a picture with your smartphone camera!
To which I replied:
So is wrist gesture recognition quite possible? But can you or someone else give me more information about Android Wear: Should I see Android Wear as a simple Android API extension? By this I mean: can I use all the functions associated with the Android API to interpret the data of a smartphone / tablet, provided that the Smartwatch has this sensor? (e.g. accelerometer)
