Firebug opening stops javascript starting

I noticed that at the last level of firefox (33.1) / firebug (2.0.6) my Javascript just stops.

The console does not report any errors, there are no problems. Just when I click on the elements that can be clicked, there is no action. By closing firebug, Javascript is working again.

This does not happen for Chrome (open using development tools) or Opera (opens with Dragonfly). I tried a couple of different sites with the same results.

Is this a firebug bug? Or am I missing settings somewhere?

I have the following plugins with firefox: fireQuery (1.41), HTML Validator (0.9.5.8) Pocket (3.0.5) View Char source code (3.05)

This seems to be due to a combination of Firefox v. 33.1 in conjunction with fireQuery v. 1.41. There is more to this question here .

This is a bug related to the interaction between fireQuery and Firefox.

This became a problem when Firefox switched from version 32 to version 33.

The only solution is to disable fireQuery and restart Firefox. Or, debugging with Chrome, Safari, Opera, or even (sigh) Internet Explorer.

I had the same problem after disabling FireQuery JS + FireBug. I hope the FireQuery update comes soon, it was a very good plugin ...
