IFrame does not dispute authority

I am trying to create a phonegap application that simply contains tags imgor iframes, all of which come from several different servers on our network.

The current problem that I encountered is when you go, for example, in http://my-intranet-domain/image.pnga browser, you are presented with a login dialog box to enter the credentials of the active directory; when you put this as <img src="http://my-intranet-domain/image.png" />in a phonegap application (or even Chrome and Safari on a macbook), you just get 401 errors (no requests for credentials).

How can I:

  • Call for usernames and passwords in this situation

and, perhaps:

  1. After you get the username and password, remember this, so you do not need to ask again (there are several different servers from which images / iframes can arise, but they are all in our domain - if you need to authenticate, you should only authenticate once).

Web views do not show a dialog by default. You can look at the cordova-plugin-auth-dialog , which allows this behavior for Cordoba applications. It can save session credentials, and on iOS it can be saved forever.
