Firefox 33 and jquery bug?

Does anyone else see issues with Firefox 33 and jquery event binding?

Our sites use jquery (jquery-1.8.3) with regular event bindings, such as clicking on elements like this:

$( ".elementOnPage" ).click( function() {
    console.log('elementOnPage clicked');
});

They work for a while, but then suddenly stop working. Refreshing the page does nothing and does not clear the cache.

I need to exit Firefox and restart it. No problem in any other browsers.

This happened with two updates for Firefox back, I let him figure out that the next patch would fix it, but it is still broken in 33.1.1, so I think that 33.1.0 where it was introduced, but not positive.

Playback Stages:

  • Launch Firefox 33+
  • Go to a site that uses jquery
  • Use it for a while
