I have Windows 7 installed on my computer, and I have a virtual hard disk (.vhdx) file that is created using Windows 8. So, as I know,
Hyper-V is not available in client SKUs for Windows 7, such as Enterprise. It is only available on Windows Server 2008 x64 (some SKUs), Windows Server 2008 R2 (most SKUs), Windows 8 Professional x64, Windows 8 Enterprise x64, and Windows Server 2012 (again, most SKUs). You have just installed management tools that allow you to manage a remote instance of Hyper-V.
It is right? If so, is there a way to open this .Vhdx in any other Windows7 software. Or how can I use it?
I found a blog below in the "How to restore a backup of VHD files" section but am looking for an alternative way?
