Sublime Text 3: Use double underscore "__" as a word delimiter

I am trying to use the double underscore "__" as a word delimiter in Sublime Text 3. This means that I want the following to be double-clicked (selection indicated by brackets):

  • (bar_foo)
  • (Hello World)

Is it possible? My first guess is “no,” because nothing is specified in the Preferences.sublime settings, but maybe one of you guys knows a way to make this work?

Thanks in advance!

PS: I have reviewed some of the issues here in SO (eg, remote dash of word_separators, ctrl + d no longer make sense and Sublime Text and vs underscores the hypens ), but they do not respond to this particular question.

Edit: in case you're interested, I want this because I want to select variables like bar_foo_counter, but also want to use double underscores for my CSS modifier classes, like bar__inner.
