Has anyone been able to get sensor data from the Moto 360 through. Google Fit API?

Question

I mean the API described here: https://developers.google.com/fit/overview .

I have Google Fit both on my Moto360 and on my phone (Nexus 4). I want to get step / heart rate data from the Moto 360 through. API, but it seems they are getting location data instead (from my phone). Any help?

I used the sample Google apps located here: https://developers.google.com/fit/android/samples .
