Google Play Games Services Alert: "Incorrect implementation detected"

I recently received the following warning for my game in the Google Play Developer Console:

Incorrect implementation detected

The following Play Games services are not properly implemented in your game: Achievements.

It provides a link to the help page , but the page provides only the following information:

Incorrect implementation detected

Invitations are implemented in this game, but it does not allow users to join a match from an invitation. This approach is not recommended as it can lead to poor user experience.

This does not help me because it mentions invitations (which my application does not use) instead of achievements.

It seems strange to me that I get an error message when I published the latest update in May. I can also earn achievements when I use the application myself, so the fact that I get this message causes me an error.

Can you answer these questions:

  • Are these warnings ever erroneous? Is it possible that my application is in order, or is there definitely something that I did wrong?

  • If something is wrong with my application, how can I fix it? What are the common sources of errors causing this message?

  • Is this message a friendly reminder that I am doing something wrong or is it a warning that they will delete my application or terminate my account if I do nothing?

Thanks for the help.

I get these messages even for applications that do not have integration with GPGS at all (no leaders, achievements ... they do not even include api). Perhaps this is a problem with some kind of automatic check.
