OleDbException (0x80004005): Unknown

I have the following code (part of a Windows form) that successfully connects to an Excel file on my machine, but it does not work in another field.

Behavior is reproduced using OleDbDataAdapter, rather than OleDbCommand.ExecuteReader().

By mistake, I mean that the following error occurs on the line dataTable.Load(dataReader);

When starting / creating a program with x86 configuration, I get the following error.

The Excel file used for testing is the same file on both machines. I was able to reproduce the problem with multiple files (both .xlsans .xlsx).
