Unable to save file in WebStorm 9

I have been using the same workflow for several months to add a new page to my ASP.NET site, but all of a sudden I am having problems trying to save the file .ascxinside WebStorm.

I created the page .ascxin VS and then saved it. Then I go to WebStorm to start development, and I cannot save any of these new files. I get this error:

Following errors occurred on attepmt to save files:

C:\...\Management\Management.ascx___jb_bak___ (Access is denied)

I do not understand what this file is and why it cannot be saved ... jbmakes it look like a JetBrains file, but this file does not actually exist on the file system. All the other files that I had work fine. Its just this new file all of a sudden.

What does this error mean? There is no valuable information.

This error occurred to me every time I used Nodemonto run Webpackfor a separate process. The issue was resolved by disabling "safe recording" in "Settings", as suggested by VyvIT.

Hi, developers using Jetbrains products! I had this problem today and I think it was for webstorm, but I am checking my E: drive I am developing on. The problem was that my hard drive was read-only.

I changed my drive to C and decided.

Check your drive you are using. This can be a problem.

Windows:

Folder> Properties> Security tab

Press

Change to change Permissions> Select user
