GeckoView Integration in Android

I ran into a problem while uploading a file to webview in Kitkat (4.4). According to https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=62220 this cannot be done in 4.4 due to the lack of a method in the new version of webview.

Hence, searching and searching GeckoView ( https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/GeckoView ) as an alternative for web browsing. I followed all the steps listed in https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/GeckoView , however, the project does not work in the emulator, as well as on the Android device.

I tried to download and import a sample Geckobrowser project into https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/GeckoView , but it gives a compile-time error for the getCurrentBrowser () method.

I am using windows. Can someone please guide me, unable to find out what I do not see. I am really great for any guide in the right direction.

You should check the cpu version of abi and change geckoview_library and geckoview_asset according to abi.

http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/mobile/nightly/

From the link you can download several types of geckoview library.

This is a sample.
