Developing .Net application on Mac?

I am a .Net Developer who started using Mac OS. The only thing I missed on this system is "VISUAL STUDIO". I do not want to use two systems. What do you think .Net application development

Do you think I should install Virtual box and use Visual Studio

Or just use Mono Develop? Is Mono Mono enough to develop a Windows compatible application and run on a Mac?
