I am working on a project that asks the iPhone to receive data through the headphone jack. I know that this is doable, when I connect the headphones for the iPhone, it automatically changes the input from the microphone built into the microphone to an external microphone (I run the code on the simulator) to record data. However, when I cut the headphones and connect it to the signal generator, it seems that my mac cannot detect the external microphone. Does anyone know how to manually set the headphone jack as an iPhone input? I searched for this topic, for example, iPhone headphone jack link - read data?and the hiJack project. But it seems that when they plug in a headphone or other trunk, the phone will automatically consider the headphone jack as an input ... So I'm stuck in this problem, can anyone help? Many thanks!
