How to clear Android Studio Logcat console log?

I would like to clear the contents of the log log of the Android Studio Logcat console.

The Clear Logcattrash button is located to the left of the Logcat console.

I find that in Android Studio version 1.0.1 you should also click a button Reset. Otherwise, the console stops registering after clicking Clear Logcat. I am not sure if this is the intended behavior.

If you do not see the toolbar, right-click on the LogCat screen and click Show Toolbar After that, you can click the trash can icon on top.
